I have the most amazing friends ever!

March 30, 2008 at 11:41 pm (Misc)

So yesterday was the party for my birthday since i’ll be in cancun on my actual birthday. So the plan was to go eat dinner at my favorite restaurant. Everyone was able to show up. It was awesome. So two of the fourteen people that came snuck out of the resturant across the street to Loblaws, and then snuck into the resturant via the backdoor with a cake! I was so surprised, and it was just awesome.

So yeah, I have the bestest friends ever!!! :)

Don’t mess with a southern grannie!!!

March 24, 2008 at 5:58 am (Misc)

Ok so I never do this, but this one was just too cute. I recieved this joke via acceptable spam mail (i.e. the useless junk your friends/family fill your inbox with).

Lawyers should never ask a Mississippi grandma a question if they aren’t prepared for the answer.
In a trial, a Southern small-town prosecuting attorney called his first witness, a grandmotherly, elderly woman to the stand.

He approached her and asked, ‘Mrs. Jones, do you know me?’

She responded, ‘Why, yes, I do know you, Mr. Williams. I’ve known you since you were a boy,

and frankly, you’ve been a big disappointment to me. You lie, you cheat on your wife,

and you manipulate people and talk about them behind their backs.

You think you’re a big shot when you haven’t the brains to realize you’ll never amount to anything more than a two-bit paper pusher.

Yes, I know you.’

The lawyer was stunned. Not knowing what else to do,

he pointed across the room and asked, ‘Mrs. Jones, do you know the defense attorney?’
She again replied, ‘Why yes, I do. I’ve known Mr. Bradley since he was a youngster, too.

He’s lazy, bigoted, and he has a drinking problem. He can’t build a normal relationship with anyone,

and his law practice is one of the worst in the entire state.

Not to mention he cheated on his wife with three different women. One of them was your wife. Yes, I know him.’
The defense attorney nearly died.

The judge asked both counselors to approach the bench and, in a very quiet voice,

said, ‘If either of you idiots asks her if she knows me, I’ll send you both to the electric chair.’

Showing my Face!

March 19, 2008 at 6:19 am (Weightism)

In response to the dare put forth from the YouTube group Coalition of Fat Rights Activists (COFRA) I made this video.

Weightism is an unrecognized serious predujced in our society. It is time to stand up and say enough is enough.

Weight – ism

March 18, 2008 at 3:57 am (Weightism)

Where to start today… i have a few important things juggling around my head.

Ok so I’m feeling really good about the vlog channel, video making aspect that’s added feature of my bloggin experience. A few posts down i think i mentioned i started to do this. Anyways After my last video i think i’ve finally settled on what exactly i’m going to start doing with. I had tried a few things out, of course i think they aren’t the greatest but my friends have had some laughs and enjoy them. Anyways my last post was about the majority of people view some victims of rape. (Although a very important topic i’m not rehashing it, you can visit my youtube channel to discuss) Well “Shitsack” (yes that’s the person’s name, i’m not kidding) wrote a comment that spun me into the topic of weight-ism.

There will be a few different parts to my channel. I’m going to have video’s in the area of “Society Views” which will be videos on various topics that society needs to be educated on. I’ll have fun videos some parody commericals, or comedic videos for the fun of it, some with messages some without, and then personal vlog’s. In essence the videos will be like my written blog, and be about things that i’m thinking about. An extention in a way. I’ll embed the videos here as well, and hopefully you all enjoy them.

With that said today i wanted to announce of my next video that i’m doing. So as said “Shitsack” wrote a comment on the video about my weight. This got me thinking about weight-ism.

What is weight-ism you ask? The discrimination of a person based on their weight.

Now before you get your panties in a twist this is NOT a rant about being fat (yes i’m fat, let’s move on). Thin people as well as overweight people experience discrimination based on their weight. So this covers the entirety of it.

In response to his comment i really didn’t care to post a video on the fact that people are mean, or rant about how i’ve been treated by being fat, i was more interested in what was behind it so to speak. The idea evolved as i started reading about body acceptance, and what other bloggers were writting about weight issues. Some stories shocked, educated, and related to me. Each were educatedly written. I highlight some of the videos in the “Thought Provoking” playlist on my YouTube channel if your interested.

I’m excited to be doing this video because i think alot more public education on the topic is needed. I think that society’s push to being thinner and their views on overweight people is a risk factor for developing an eating disorder. What is this pre-occupation with weight anyways? Is it a beauty thing? Is it being unhealthy? Medical? You’d be surprised but in actuality many of those are myths! In my opinion there is no good thing that can come from an obessive society about weight. But i don’t want to get to into this because i want to save these areas for my video.

I’d love to share personal weight-ism stories (no matter what type it is, whether you’ve had discrimination due to being thin, or fat), your beliefs about weight, anything you’d like me to include etc in my video. Thanks for any help and hopefully this will turn out just as good as i’d like it to.

Some blogs that you should check out on weight-ism, body acceptance:

Ok, Ok… I will say this… So we’ve all heard that fat is “unhealthy”… that there are risk factors to being overweight.

That’s like saying: Johnny’s unhealthy he’s caucasian… caucasian’s have health risk factors you know….. Let’s face it people there are risk factors associated with pretty much anything you can think about. So by that standard alone does having a risk factor makes you “unhealthy”. NO!

Who knew?

March 15, 2008 at 10:34 am (Uncategorized)

Who knew vlogging would be so difficult… Ok I did lol. So i quite enjoy my new hobby of video making, the only draw back… I’m totally not creative when i want to be creative… I’m not funny when i want to be funny… So all these perfectly funny, creative moments keep happening… and my frigin camera is no where to be found! Or i’ll get an idea for an episode, and i can’t get it to translate well…

Hmm…. This is when i call re-enforcements in… however some of them aren’t in the country right now, and the other half are camera shy…

Got an idea or want me to talk about something in particular? Leave a comment!

But that’s nothing considering we’ll be in CANCUN for my BIRTHDAY!!!! :D :D:D:D ok… i’ll settle down now

Reminicings + YouTube

March 12, 2008 at 12:25 pm (Uncategorized)

I was just going through an old version of Spontaneous Impressions… re-reading prior posts and i came upon one that i had written after seeing my (now past) landlord shirtless… He was definatly a beautiful man. He rendered me speechless and i practically ran out of the house lol. I think in hind sight it was a combination of having a slight crush on him plus the totally unexpected nature of the ’shirtless run in’ that startled me into running away. I think he quite enjoyed it really because he wouldn’t let me run away that fast, he followed me out into the yard… lol Oh say la vie. Too bad i had to move, watching him half naked was always fun… lol.

So i started a Youtube account a while ago, but just started recently posting videos… I have to say i’m the worst actor alive. I attempted a silly reaction skit, but i’m not really sure that it came out to viewers the way i had wanted or envisioned it to do. I think i’ll stay with the vlog type of videos, at least being silly and dumb in them and looking like a complete weirdo seems to go over better.

What i don’t really get though, So i make these videos and i think i look really stupid in them, and i really ramble on… Now i enjoy doing it, but serious how does one come across so organized and well entertaining when they’re just talking about their lives? I have to admit I’m a fan of vlogs (i guess that’s what they’re called… man i feel old!) But do the authors of those vlogs feel as silly and awkward as I do when i do mine? hmmm… I wonder…

Anyways if your interested you can always visit and comment http://www.youtube.com/twinkle4483/

Hope you Enjoy!
